Online Seminar „ Industrial Espionage - Threats and Prevention”

Not only competitors, but also foreign countries are very interested in the expertise of companies operating in Germany. Some of those foreign countries instruct their intelligence services to spy on other countries' businesses. With the stolen data those countries support the technological research and development of their own industry. Based on the increasing digitalization of society and industrial production, foreign actors have developed advanced cyber-attacks, which are very hard to detect. In order to keep their competitive edge, companies take measures to defend themselves. Authorities in Germany help local companies to protect themselves by sharing knowledge and intelligence, ensuring confidentiality. In his presentation Mr. Beuchel will show the structure and objectives of authorities in Germany, the threats of foreign intelligence services and which help his organization can offer.
